Mohamad Abbas, PhD
Founder & CEO
Mohamad Abbas is a British molecular biologist and scientific consultant with more than 15 years of international research experience across Spain, Austria, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.
He previously served as an Assistant Professor and Principal Investigator in the Netherlands and held several fellowships including Marie Skłodowska-Curie, EMBO, and Leverhulme. His first-author research has been published in Nature, Current Biology, and PNAS.
Throughout his academic career, Mohamad has developed manuscripts, funding proposals, research programmes, and experimental strategies while mentoring students and researchers across career stages. He founded Helical Scientific to make that level of scientific judgement and editorial guidance directly available to researchers and institutions.
